New question for Staff Applications, and Trial-Helper

"List 2 things about yourself that you feel you should improve on."

I personally believe that players who are applying for the Staff role should be reflecting on themselves, and looking for ways to improve. Adding on, I think that there should be a T-Helper role, or something along the lines of that. I do know that there is a Trial period of around 1-2 weeks, but I think that it would be better for players to know that they are on trial. I am not so sure of how the Trial period works, but in my opinion I believe that the Council's opinion should be included in the decision making of whether or not that Staff member moves on from the Trial or not. The Council can also tell Vyzon and the Admins if they think that Staff member has improved on those 2 qualities they have listed in their application.

Honestly i agree with you on this Frroosst but who would be the staff member to make sure on that the trial staff member actually showing improvement that they would list in their application.

Adding that question to the staff application would be fine. However, I do not believe the Council should be in-charge of making these decisions or even be in the decision making. There are currently only 6 council members, not including current staff members. Some council members have left the discord and no longer have the council role, and most have not played recently. Rather, I would like to see the Lucky Skyblock community's response to their improvements and behavior, since they would be the ones interacting with the "Trial-Helper". This however, would likely be hard to ask an entire community how one player is doing. That being said, I believe it should be left to the current staff members to decide if they have improved on what they listed.

I do not even think this needs to be implemented at all. Sure, you can implement the question, but checking on that "Trial-Helper" to see if he has improved on what they said they need to improve on just doesn't seem logical. I believe as long as the Trial does not break rules, is helpful to the community, and is active, they should be given a chance at helper. After being helper for a while, they should start seeing improvements to things they listed that they needed to improve on.

It doesn't need to be a staff member on. It could be trusted players of the community and the council.

In my opinion, the council represents the community. When Vyzon asks what the community needs, he should presumably ask the council. The council should be made up of active and trustworthy members of the server, regardless of if toxic or not. The "Trial-Helper" role is just so there is an actual difference between a trial and the actual thing.

If the council members are toxic, they wouldn't be seen as trustworthy members. I agree that the council needs to be made up of active and trustworthy members. However, it seems that the "council" is a thing in the past sadly. No one has been added to the council in over a year, maybe even a few years. If you want the council to be active, management would have to change the roles every few weeks to months depending on how active / trustworthy they are. This is just going to cause more work that is not needed for the management. If you really want it to be a certain group of people, I would first suggestion making a suggestion about either making a new group and the process of how people can get into that group, or how you would revamp the entire council role.

I still do not understand the point of doing this though. Should the council or whoever you think should watch them only watch the "Trial-Helper" for that one question on the staff application? Are they going to watch them for all the questions answered? This to me, just seems like a lot of unnecessary work not just for the council members, but even management - having to choose who is in the council and actively update who is in the council. All of this for just one question. I don't believe this question should even make or break a staff application (Unless it's something they need extreme improvements on, like communication skills, Improving on toxicity, etc). Like I have said before, they will most likely improve on those things listed while staff on the server over time.

The question is also kind of vague. Do you mean what they can improve on regarding the server? Do you mean what they can improve on in their personal life and on the server? Because if someone listed that they needed to improve on math, keeping their room clean, etc., that would be irrelevant to the staff application.

I understand where you're coming from, but that question is far too open-ended and I think we'll get a variety of weird responses. Players that would make good staff members often are pretty easy to spot. While I think an application/interview process is still needed, people shouldn't have to type a paragraph about the problems and insecurities they need to work on.
