The Crate Experience.

Currently, rewards are super jank. EXP is essentially useless because you get a crap ton of books of all rarities, every player has around 50 unlimited sell wands, and anyone who has opened a monthly can tell you how ridiculous the rewards are. All of these crates are achievable through voting, envoys, ./dquest, ./kit keys, and killing bosses, ./buy, and probably a lot more that I can't name off the top of my head. Let's run through the crates:

Above are the crates in the game excluding Monthly crates (that's for a different post), with the corresponding rewards. Uncolored means common, Blue means uncommon, Purple means rare, and Yellow means legendary. Now let's get into what I believe are the issues.

Pouches
Pouches itself is not the main issue. I think it's a great concept that you get a random amount between 2 numbers, rather than having 3 set numbers. However, it's the amount you get between each pouch that is an issue. I do not know all the amounts of each pouch, all I have on my account is 1 medium mobcoin pouch and 1 medium money pouch. Range of Mobcoins are 100-500, while Money is 100k to 500k. I don't know the exact price of a coin at the moment, but on CJ's coins are going for 25k for 1. This means that if you got the LOWEST reward for a medium mobcoin pouch of 100, you can sell that and get 2.5M. However, if you get the HIGHEST reward for a medium money pouch, you get 500k. You are getting 1/5 of the reward, while you *should* be getting more. While yes Coins are at an absurdly high price, I think that these pouches should be adjusted as we get further into the season. This is just 1 example of how Pouches are broken they should be adjusted every 1-2 weeks as the season progresses and the economy matures. They should be harder to obtain, making the pouches an uncommon or even rare reward.

Spawners
Spawners are virtually useless apart from Iron Golems, Villagers, Zombie Piglins, Wolves, and Bees. The first 3 are mainly used for island levels, while the last 2 are for money. With current sell prices for mob drops, spawners like cows, creepers, enderman etc. are honestly useless, even at super early game. You can straight up make a Bamboo farm to earn ridiculous amounts of money with minimal effort. This season with the removal of the ability to purchase mineral blocks from ./shop, I think that it should be a bit easier to obtain spawners like Iron Golems, Villagers, and Zombie Piglins. Not only this, maybe an introduction to more mobs dropping minerals could be a good idea. For example, a Silverfish spawner could drop diamonds. 3x Enderman Spawners for a Lucky key is useless, no matter how low you are on the leaderboard.

Mineral Blocks

There should be more rewards for Mineral Blocks in crates, not just the vote key. Maybe even a pouch for mineral blocks. Mineral blocks are hard to obtain, and it would be cool to see more ways implemented to get blocks. Not much to say here.

Lucky Blocks
I think the amount of Lucky Blocks in the rewards is great. However, I wish there were Super Lucky Blocks in the crates as well. Maybe having 1-2 more Lucky Block rewards per crate would be good as well, not just the singular reward.

Sell/Condense
Now this is where things start to get extremely jank. The number of Sell Wands you can get from these crates is absolutely ridiculous. Sell Wands are genuinely useless once you get an Autosell chest. Like seriously I have used unlimited Sell Wands as normal sticks. The number of Sell Wands HAVE to be reduced in crates. Not only this, but the Uses per Sell Wands need to increase as well. Unlimited Sell Wands are WAY WAY WAY too easy to obtain, making per use Sell Wands useless. Unlimited Sell Wands need to be a Rare or if not Legendary reward in the Lucky Crate, and the rarity of Sell Wands in earlier crates need to be higher as well.

Autosell Chests and Condense Chests are also too easy to get. I'm not sure if the rewards are percentage based or rarity based, but they need to be more rare. These are SUPER OP, and maybe even deserve their own rarity. These chests may determine the difference between Top 1 and Top 2. Unlike Villagers, these crates may go down in price as the season progresses, which should not be the case. These should be much much fewer Autosells and Condenses in circulation. Maybe even a cap per island would make things better.

Another thing, why aren't Condense wands in crates? Sell wands are in there, I don't see why Condense wands are not in there as well.

Enchants
Enchants are way too easy to get. I'll use my island teammate FxkkingBlessed as an example. While yes he has opened an absurd number of monthlies and other crates, all of his XP is earned through pouches. Despite this, at the moment of writing this (19/5/2023), he has 17M XP. Not only this, he spends A LOT of XP on custom enchants to sell gkits. What's the point of an Inquisitive enchant when you can just get crates and get the XP through pouches? XP should be earned by grinding mobs and utilizing the Inquisitive enchant, and even the GRINDER sword, hence the GRINDER in the name. To GRIND. The grinder sword is objectively worse than a monthly sword because it has Looting 4 compared to the monthly's Looting

Though, the enchant books you can get are another issue. The book quantity is too much per crate, and should be lowered. Not only this but the actual XP price should be increased as well. Everything is all too easy to get and too cheap.

Keys and Ranks
These are fair, however, I think 4x Lucky keys is a bit much. Please reduce to 3.



Conclusion
Crates need to be looked at again and revamped. I think this is one major issue that the server has. My take and opinion on this is not perfect and I'm open to other ideas, but the main part of this is that crates need to be reevaluated.

Bring back silverfish dropping diamonds. I do think all spawners are good to have for comp and quests, but public grinders solve that problem.

With money pouches, sure. With coin pouches and experience pouches? You are wasting so much. I did mention that pouches should be rebalanced every 1-2 weeks.


Bring back silverfish dropping diamonds. I do think all spawners are good to have for comp and quests, but public grinders solve that problem.
